Civil War – Which Team Would Other Marvel Stars Pick Up?

Get the latest news on Civil War movie – the second blockbuster after Deadpool from Marvel Studios this season.

Captain America: Civil War is an upcoming American superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Captain America, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. The movie is scheduled to be premiered on May 6, 2016.

Civil War movie side to pick

Team Cap or Iron Man: which side would Thor and Hulk pick up?

The first Civil War movie trailer teased personal and emotional core of the movie, but it was the second short teaser that aired during the Super Bowl which placed the spotlight on the team vs. team aspect of the film, asking fans to pick up their side. That pillar of the marketing is used for the film’s promotional artwork and posters, and has its own sets of Twitter emoji – a trend set previously by Disney when they began promoting Star Wars 7.

As for any questions regarding which Avengers are on #TeamCap or #TeamIronMan, this has been answered in both the Super Bowl ad and the second Civil War movie trailer which released last week – a trailer that introduced Spider-Man and added him to Stark’s team. Of course, things may not be as they appear and some characters may switch sides, but for the purposes of this article we’re instead going to focus on the Marvel Cinematic Universe characters not in the film to see what side they’d choose.

Hulk and Thor are not in Captain America: Civil War. Both are arguably too powerful and given their current situations and history, may have the least reason to be in this game. Instead, the pair is off-world on a cosmic buddy adventure we’ll learn about in 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok.

Civil War movie side to pick

Should Hulk and Thor pick their own side to make the fight more awesome?

When asked about these two Avengers during the post-trailer release Tumblr Q&A session last week, Robert Downey Jr. was quick to say Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) would obviously join him since they’re science bros, and Chris Evans agrees. However, director Joe Russo doesn’t think that’s the case given that Iron Man is working with Hulk enemy Thunderbolt Ross. As for Thor, Evans says Team Cap might get him but Joe Russo seems to think Thor wouldn’t be in either team.

With Daredevil season 2 airing this week on Netflix, and star Charlie Cox ever hopeful that one day he can share the screen with the Avengers, he and the rest of the cast and crew couldn’t avoid the question of who they’d side with in the Captain America: Civil War conflict. was on the red carpet for the Daredevil season 2 premiere in New York and asked everyone they could this very question. Here’s the breakdown:

Frank Castle a.k.a. The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) on team Spider-Man – Bernthal actually auditioned with Spider-Man actor Tom Holland and their two characters share key moments together in the Civil War story from Marvel Comics.

Matt Murdock a.k.a. Daredevil (Charlie Cox) – Team Cap

And from the comics, it’s pretty clear that Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) and Luke Cage (Mike Colter) would also be #TeamCap.
