The Walking Dead attraction available in Universal Studios Hollywood this summer

The Walking Dead is an American horror drama tv series first premiered in the U.S in 2010. And this tv show has been well received by critics and has consistently increasing Nielsen ratings. It released total 6 seasons until now. And season 7 with 16 episodes will debut in October 2016.

This horror television series will now be a part of Universal Studios Hollywood. And The Walking Dead addicts and Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights will be so happy to hear that the setting up of a new attraction is now underway at the Hollywood theme park. It will come to the Los Angeles theme park this summer. This great news was first revealed on The Talking Dead Sunday night.

From its debut until now, the Walking Dead has become a part of Universal’s seasonal Halloween Horror Nights, presenting elaborate mazes based on the hugely popular TV show. It received an increasing number of attendances.

This attraction is the contribution of Greg Nicotero, The Walking Dead executive producer, KNB Efx, and Universal Studios Hollywood. And Nicotero’s team will construct prosthetics.

Universal says that the Walking Dead attraction “will create a no-holds-bar experience that significantly intensifies any other iteration previously developed within the theme park. Coupled with authentic walker make-up effects, sophisticated animatronic walkers, substantially more detailed set design and costuming, and highly recognizable props replicated from the series, the attraction will deliver an uncompromised realistic environment that brings guests even further into the most watched show in cable television history.”

President of Universal Studios Hollywood, Larry Kurzweil said in a statement that since its debut, The Walking Dead is a phenomenon that has affected the spirit of viewers on a global scale, that they are trying to take its intensity to the next level by cooperating with the show’s award-winning production team to produce an really authentic living representation of the series that you can only be experienced at Universal Studios Hollywood.

Charlie Collier, President of AMC and Sundance TV also expressed his hope that this walk-through attraction will take fan experience to the whole new level. “Along with our great partners at Universal, it means a great deal to us to continue entertaining -- and frightening -- passionate, loyal fans of 'The Walking Dead' for years to come."

And we are all long for tickets to this place to see this attraction. It will be interesting to see if this walk-through attraction will replace the maze-themed Walking Dead that Universal has built each year for Halloween Horror Nights.

The new Walking Dead Attraction will be available just a few months after Universal Studios Hollywood opens the Wizarding World of Harry Potter land in April. So it’s going to be a very good year for this theme park.
